Wednesday, September 5, 2012 @ 6:39 PM | 0 notes

There are a lot of steps going to the third floor of the Taisin Square building. What lies ahead is the school of dance arts. What’s in front is the glass door, which you can see the multifarious collection of poster on the walls. It is the picture of the ballerinas who are successful and famous. They are posing in different kind of dances, which includes ballet, Spanish dance, jazz, and contemporary.

Seeing what is going on, the kids are sitting on the chair, talking to each other. Some are wearing their ballet shoes, and some are taking out. People are walking in and out of the dressing room, kids and teenagers. Some comes out with their leotards and some changes into their regular clothes. Many people are doing their hair buns or letting down. It is a very normal thing for this place.

Walking in the main school, the door knob was cold but the wooden door quite warm. Inside, it smells like rosins and sweat mix together. There are student drinking water in the hall way. I see 4 studios are being use. They are all full of students, some are smiling and some are not. Everybody was sweating. It’s the thing every day I came to this school. The parents are sitting outside, waiting for the child to finish learning. They are waiting patiently. They watch their children attending class.

The first studio is full of ballerinas. The teacher is the director of the school. She is the head teacher in this school. Everybody in class is concentrating on what she’s teaching. They are all older than me. She is holding a student’s leg up in the air. The expression on the student’s face tells that she is struggling on holding her leg up. Everybody is staring at her. This make the teacher unhappy, I can tell it in her face. Everybody is cheering her inside without the teacher knowing. The teacher also has a very strident sound, which we all have to endure with it.

On the wall, there's a certificate from the RAD, which is the acronym for Royal School of Ballet. Our teacher had finished her solo seal from it. She is the best teacher in the ballet school around Bangkok.

There was one girl, she has been uninterested in the teacher's teaching. She look tired. She was covered in sweat. Her carefree demeanor annoys the teacher.

In the second studio, the teacher is teaching the primary kids. They are running around the room with energy. They are holding pom-poms in their hands. The pom-poms have many color, which includes, white, purple, pink, and red. They are also jumping around. The teacher in this room is a bit old. She has been teaching for 8 years. She is a very funny teacher, but everybody think that she is very strict. She is the first teacher for me. She is very kind.

Walking in a bit more, I can see another room, they are learning jazz. The kids in this room are from age 12-15. Their face tells me that they are having fun. The jazz teacher seems very young. I think she is around 18. She seems to be having fun teaching jazz.

I say hi to the desk lady, she is around 40-50 years old. She smells like cookie, which I assume that she baked it in the morning. I have known her very long. (I have been learning here since I’m 8 years old.) I come here at least 3 times a week.

The last room, the kids are learning 5th grade. The teacher looks very sexy. The kids seem to like the teacher very much. She is a very funny teacher. I think she want to be loved by everybody. She gets along with everyone. The kids are having fun. The parents in front of this room seem to be best friends. Everybody inside and outside of this classroom are having fun.

I guess that this weird school is kind of fun and stupid at the same time. But it was the best school I’ve ever been to.
